Quest: 5 stages (the musical)
Creative resuscitation- I like that. I think we could use more of that. Read a book. Sci-fi, yeah that's a means of getting the juices flowing. Working the muscle in-between your ears.
5 stages:
First insight
This is mostly what I do right now... I find a problem to try to solve it. I have to say, this hump of the creative process is the steepest to surpass. Finding problems can be obvious or elusive, but passing this step is a task to be dealt with.
Saturation
This takes some time and dedication to do properly, and if half-baked is quite hard to progress far into the 3rd process. I have to say my saturation is greatly influenced at my patience... The patience you have must be the patience for yourself. You need the time to think it over. I do a lot of this as well.
Incubation
I have ideas incubating that I don't even know about yet, and are sure to reveal themselves as an AHA moment. Generally I don't fall asleep while in bed for a few hours due to this. My gears are turning too fast, and my imagination likes it when I take time to focus and have no distractions. This is very good for the incubation process and I do it routinely every night, regardless if I want to.
AHA
This is what we strive for, and when we get there, it is quite extraordinary. What goes on unnoticed in the subconscious is a wonder by itself, but when it reveals itself it can be stunning. The answer seems to come out of nowhere, but whose to say it hasn't been with you the whole time?
Verification
Now comes the test to make the place for this idea to materialize itself. You have found a solution, and started towards it. Now is a time for mastery.
